Tab page 'Misc'

The tab page "Misc" contains all other settings that do not fit in the previous tab pages.

Scan and analyse - Distance between frame and perforation

When a stamp has been scanned its size will be determined automatically. The stamp's frame must be of course a little larger. The setting "Distance between frame and perforation" indicates how much white space will be added to eacht side of the stamp. Example: the size of a stamp that has been scanned is determined to be 30 x 35 mm. If the setting "Distance between frame and perforation" is set to 2 mm. the size of the stamp's frame will be 34 x 39 mm. The calculated sizes can be changed manually in the screen "Edit Picture".

This setting is also used by the Layout Wizard. When entering the size of a stamp the Layout Wizard will calculate the size of the stamp's frame based on the value of this setting.

Scan and analyse - Size to cut-off for perforation

When a stamp has been scanned and is used inside a stamp frame most of the time it is desirable that the perforation is not visible. The setting "Size to cut-off for perforation" indicates how much of stamp will be cut off to hide it's perforation. With the screen "Edit Picture" you can cut off the perforation in more detail by yourself: you are able to cut-off all sides of the stamp very accurately.

Scan and analyse - Grayscale after analysis

When a stamp has been scanned and is used inside a stamp frame most of the time it is desirable that the image is shown in gray colors. Of course this can be done with the function "Grayscale", but it can also be done via the  setting "Grayscale after analysis". All scanned images will be converted to grayscaled images automatically. On the screen "Edit Picture" this setting can be set for each picture individually.
